On Wednesday the 14th of December 2011 we celebrated the 50-Year-presence of our Company in Piraeus. The Hellas Liberty, located in the port of Piraeus, provided the ideal location for the event as it was with Liberties that our company was able to regain its strength after the destructive second world war which saw our only vessel being torpedoed and sunk, thankfully with no human casualties. An exhibition with oil paintings of old vessels, photographs and memorabilia from our archives, models of vessels from different eras, as well as videos showing key events from our company's long history were all exhibited throughout the day inside the Hellas Liberty. On this mild December evening old and new colleagues, associates and piers were able to sit comfortably on deck and enjoy their "chian mastiha" on one of the most iconic vessels for Greek merchant shipping.
